Which comes first - your confidence or your presentation message?

Ā
After supporting one-on-one clients to create presentations that feel alive, relevant, and relatable for over two decades, I have a strong opinion on this.
Ā
Ready for it?
Ā
Here's my answer.
Ā
They feed each other.
Ā
CONFIDENCE āā PRESENTATIONĀ
Ā
As your confidence in knowing who your audience is grows, your presentation gets stronger.šŖ
Ā
As your presentation gets more clear and interesting, your confidence goes up. ā¬ļøĀ
Ā
As your excitement about presenting engaging stories and slides grows, so does your confidence and excitement about presenting!ā¬šš
Ā
And so on!
Ā
A presentation you believe in is very solid ground.
Ā
During brainstorming sessions with clients I'll hear thing like:
Ā
āOoohhh, I love this analogy! It totally explains what I'm getting at. (pause) WAIT. I'm actually getting excited about presenting this.ā
Ā
I can tell that my client is excitedā¦.and also slightly confused that they're looking forward to presenting.š
Ā
Then we brainstorm another idea.š”
Ā
And there's another confidence growth spurt.
Ā
Ā
Can this happen for you?
Ā
YES. YES. YES.
